Masonic Village Home Health, Hospice and Home Care is hiring a Health Information Supervisor. This is a Full Time, Day opportunity.

What You'll Do:

As a Health Information Supervisor, you will carry out our Mission of Love by being responsible for Home Health medical record documentation, assuring the agency meets Medicare and insurance requirements by managing physician order processes and coordinating with billing coordinators for timely release of billing claims.

Our Health Information Supervisors are responsible for the following:

  • Provides training and education for Home Health clinicians regarding the computer system and records management.
  • Oversees and manages acquisition of required Face to Face documentation.
  • Accountable for maintaining accurate client records, focusing on the Admission and status, diagnosis, and assessment, medication, and physician orders information. Participates in insurance verification process.
  • Oversees the editing of OASIS information, therapy orders, problem lists as needed. Follows up with clinicians related to questionable or missing items. Maintains written or electronic documentation from clinicians to support entries.
  • Oversees new client medical record folders, the process for initiation and review of admission paperwork from clinicians, and maintains an accurate filing system.
  • Oversees order runs and approval process.
  • Oversees initial quality review of initial (485) certification orders. Releases RAP claims according to posted deadlines.
  • Oversees completion and submission the OASIS export electronically every two weeks. Follows up on the Validation Report as needed.
  • Serves as resource for clinicians regarding diagnosis coding guidelines. Assists clinicians in choosing the correct diagnosis codes for services provided.
  • Oversees the processing of the ATB, and Revenue Recognition reports after the month end process and develops the Home Health Dashboard.
  • Serves as IT liaison with Senior Options for upgrades, webinars, and education, etc.

What You Definitely Have:

  • Two years of experience working with Home Health and/or Hospice Medicare regulatory requirements.
  • Experience as a supervisor in a related field.
  • Two years of post-high school education, preferred.
  • College degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, and be able to identify errors or omissions in documentation.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, work under limited supervision.
  • Must have computer skills, with knowledge of basic Excel and Word and Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Must complete certification in diagnosis coding and OASIS (COS-O) within 1 year.
  • Valid PA driver's license and proof of motor vehicle insurance.
  • I have current knowledge in the operation of general office equipment, including but not limited to computer, printer/scanner/copier/fax, check scanner.
  • I have the ability to type a minimum 55 words per minute.
